What it is
ClinicalDataS includes a set of AI-assisted capabilities that support study teams while they learn the platform, build CRFs, and enter data. This page introduces what is available today and links to full instructions for each. It also lists what is planned but not yet available.

CDS Chatbot
The CDS Chatbot is a floating assistant available on every page of the platform once you are logged in. It is not a menu item or a separate page — look for the Let AI Help You button, usually in a bottom corner of the screen.
What it answers
The CDS Chatbot answers questions based on Help Center documentation — how to navigate the platform, how a feature works, or where to find a setting. It does not look up live study or subject data, and it does not take actions on your behalf.
Access
The CDS Chatbot is available to every logged-in user, in every role. There is no separate permission required to see or use it.
Starting a conversation
Select Let AI Help You to open the chat panel. It opens with the greeting "Hello! How can I help you today?" and a short list of quick-reply suggestions to get started, such as "How do I submit a CRF?", "What is the EDC system?", and "Help with data entry". Type a question in the message box to continue the conversation.
The chat panel accepts typed questions only — it does not accept file or image attachments. (The Data Entry AI Agent, covered on its own page, does accept attachments, but that is a separate assistant used from within an open CRF.)
Your conversation is tied to your own login and carries over as you move between pages during your session, but it is not shared with other users, and it does not carry over if you switch to a different browser or device.
What this should show: the CDS Chatbot's closed floating button ("Let AI Help You") in the corner of a study page, alongside the expanded chat panel showing the opening greeting and the quick-reply suggestion chips.
CRF Builder AI
CRF Builder AI helps you create a new CRF from a prompt or a file, or update a CRF you already have open, using AI. See CRF Builder AI for full instructions, including its current coverage and limitations.
Data Entry AI Agent
The Data Entry AI Agent helps a CRC populate an open CRF by extracting values from an attached document or image, or from typed chat, and mapping them to the matching fields. See Data Entry AI Agent for full instructions, including how to accept or revert each extracted value before saving the CRF.
