# Ip Codes

Overview of individual product-unit tracking in the ClinicalDataS IMP module for PSP (Patient Support Program) studies, and how the screen differs by Tracking method.

IP Codes (PSP mode)

Every unit of investigational product (IP) is tracked as an individual record — a serial number or a lot — depending on the study's Tracking method. PSP studies are not randomized, so unlike Randomization mode, neither screen has a treatment-arm assignment field.

Tracking is set once during IMP setup and cannot be changed after the study has recorded data — see IMP Setup — Choose Your Track to confirm the study's configuration.

No-tracking studies

A PSP study configured with Tracking = No tracking does not use either screen above — individual units are not recorded, only aggregate stock movements through Receipts, Delivery to Site, Dispenses, and Returns.
