The Study Administrator uses the AI Hub page to choose which AI capabilities are switched on for the study. The toggle of a capability decides whether users of the study see the AI entry point in the corresponding module. The capabilities themselves, the connection to the AI service and the PHI policy of each capability are managed for the whole platform on AI Configuration.

Access path
- Open Home; under Current study, click Go to Study Home.
- Open AI Hub from Installed Apps.
What this should show: the study AI Hub page with the AI Capabilities cards, one capability switched on and one greyed out with its reason tooltip, and the Refresh Status and Save buttons.
Switch capabilities on or off for the study
Each capability card shows its name, a description, an availability tag and a toggle:

| Available | The capability is switched on for the platform, has a policy, and the AI service provides it. The toggle can be changed. |
| Coming soon | The capability is not yet available. The toggle cannot be changed. |
| Unavailable | The AI service cannot provide the capability at the moment. The toggle cannot be changed. |
A capability that the System Administrator has switched off for the platform, or that has no policy on AI Configuration, cannot be changed either. Point to a greyed-out toggle to read the reason.
- Switch the toggle of each capability to change.
- Click Save.
Changes take effect immediately for the whole study and are written to the audit log. A capability that the study has never changed follows the platform setting on AI Configuration.
Click Refresh Status to check the availability of each capability again. If you have unsaved changes, the Refresh status? confirmation asks you to Confirm that they are discarded.
When the AI service cannot be reached, the page shows "The AI runtime is unreachable. Capabilities without runtime mapping are shown as Unavailable. Use Refresh Status to check again."
The Usage Dashboard button is not yet available.
