Internal Transfer

# For Randomization Study

Current status of internal movement of investigational product between locations and warehouses in ClinicalDataS, and where to review IP movement history today.

Internal Transfer (Randomization mode)

Internal Transfer refers to moving investigational product (IP) between locations within the same warehouse, or between two warehouses, without changing ownership.

Coming soon

Internal Transfer is not yet available as a dedicated feature in ClinicalDataS. This page will be updated once the feature ships.

info

Moving IP from a warehouse to a site is a separate, existing workflow — see Delivery to Site.

Reviewing Movement History

IP movement recorded through existing IMP workflows can be reviewed in the Move History report.

Navigate: IMP → Report → Move History

The report currently covers Receipt, Delivery, Return, and Dispense transactions. It does not include internal (location-to-location or warehouse-to-warehouse) transfers, since that movement is not yet recorded as a transaction. Visibility of the report depends on your assigned role and site scope.
